                 Penang Hill is a  hill resort comprising a group of peaks on Penang Island, Malaysia. It is located within the Air Itam suburb, 9 km west of the center of George Town. Penang Hill is also known by the Malay name Bukit Bendera, which actually refers to Flagstaff Hill, the most developed peak. One of the peaks is known as Strawberry Hill, which was also the name of a house owned by Francis Light, founder of Penang colony. Penang Hill covers a number of hills, with the highest point at Western Hill which is 833 m above sea level. The hill stands out prominently from the lowlands as a hilly and forested area. It was used as a retreat during the British colonial period, and is now a popular tourist destination in Penang. The top of the hill is accessible via the Penang Hill Railway from its base station at Hill Railway Station Road.

1.Nature's beauty

 Enjoy nature's beauty at its raw. Penang Hill is covered by tropical rain forest.

Apart from the fantastic views, immerse yourself in the lush greenery as you take a leisurely pace along the trails. As flora and fauna thrive in abundance all over the hill, discover exotic plants such as the Monkey Cup and Slipper Orchid, some of the most sought after plants in the world.

Large mammals are not found on Penang Hill. Wild boars, small and medium-sized mammals such as the squirrels, monkeys and tree shrews can be seen. A number of species found in these hills are nocturnal. These include the civets, flying lemurs, flying civets and bats

2.Hiking in Penang Hill

 Hiking is a must to be done in Penang Hill which is has surrounded with full of greens .The varies type of flora will give us the chance to relax our mind.Plus,people join this activity to release their work stress and so on.Here,we also can increase our body's endurance as well as our health.Based on my experience I learnt that we need to struggle to see or get a beautiful and fruitful outcome.
