As usual, the story begins in a small town and your avatar is a young man/woman, you are the to decide, who has just moved from another region. When you are taking a walk, you witness a Pokemon Professor is in grave danger when a wild pokemon are trying to attack him. Desperate for help, he told you to reach out for his sling bag and take one Pokeball out of three. These Pokeballs contain the starter pokemons, so this is where the starter pokemon is made. After saving the Professor, he gave you the Pokemon that you chose.

Other than these two Legendaries, the Sapphire Version also have The Legendary Titans, consisting of Regice, Regirock  and Registeel.  Located separately in Hoehn Region, the trainers need to have a Pokemon with Dig to dig into their hideouts.

The Legendary Birds, Latias and Latios.  Flying across the sky of the Hoehn region, these two Legendaries are very hard to be found. They also tend to run when encountered, thus a Pokemon that prevents escaping is a must for trainers that want to catch them both.
